We began our hike pretty early. Here, we're headed toward Squaw Canyon.

It had rained - with some lightning - the night before.

Like I said, it had rained!

At the high point where we crossed from the top of Squaw Canyon to the top of Lost Canyon.
Be sure to pan across. Squaw in on the left and Lost is on the right.

Lots of water in Lost canyon keeps cottonwoods green and yellow warblers singing.

Making our way to Peekaboo.
Some down then lots of walking around on rimrock. We called that formation "Santa Claus."

Julie pauses before climbing through this hole to join me on our way to Peekaboo.

Lots of views from high up on the rim. That's one of the Sixshooters in the background.

Hiking around and back down, we got this view of The Needles to the west. The hike would leave high rimrock and take us back to the beggining to complete our loop.

Back to Gertie and back to our campsite at Hamburger Rock.
There we rested up in anticipation of an early morning launch for our long two day drive home.
