Alberto heading off to walk as far as he can before we pick him up on our way to Feltre.
Erica was very kind to us: after fixing us coffee and breakfast she drove us into Feltre.

The view from our B & B's window.
Feltre is a beautiful walled hill town, with about 20,000 residents, on the edge of the Venetian plain. We arrived on Sunday and most stores and restaurants were closed. They were closed Monday, too. We couldn’t figure out where everyone was.
Then, at 4:00 Monday afternoon - voila! - all businesses were open and everyone was out in the streets!
