Bressanone, Italy
Our first stop in Italy and last stop before hiking for several days
Bressanone is a walled city in northern Italy, just south of the Austrian border.
It is known as the “Bishop’s city,” and has a Bishop’s palace, churches, monasteries and cloisters.
It is also known by its German name, Brixen. German is the first language of more than 70% of the residents
in Bressanone-Brixen and the surrounding area, known as South Tyrol.
Our B & B room view in Bressanone.
We would see this street paving everywhere.
Fountain in Piazza Duomo, designed by Martin Rainer.
